Siebenaller Appointed to AIA National Ethics Council

Long-time AIA Toledo member and Past President (2000), Robert A. Siebenaller, AIA, has been appointed to the prestigious American Institute of Architects National Ethics Council (NEC). The NEC is comprised of up to twelve architect members, each appointed by the Board of Directors, and is responsible for upholding and interpreting the AIA Code of Ethics. Members serve staggered three-year terms, ensuring continuity and a robust adherence to ethical standards within the profession.

Bob’s appointment reflects his exemplary standing and experience within the architectural community and his commitment to the highest ethical standards. The NEC plays a vital role in conducting review panels and hearings panels on alleged Ethics Code violations, determining the disposition of claims, and overseeing a transparent appeals process.

AIA members are dedicated to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and competence. The AIA Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct guides members’ conduct in fulfilling those obligations. The Code of Ethics applies to the professional activities of all AIA members, regardless of their membership category.

Congratulations to Bob on this well-deserved recognition and for his service to our profession and the community.
