ICYMI: Annual Golf Outing
The annual AIA Toledo Golf Outing teed off on Monday, June 30, at Highland Meadows Golf Club—and what a day it turned out to be! Morning rain showers cleared just in time for our scheduled start, and despite a few scattered afternoon sprinkles, play continued smoothly under semi-cloudy skies and humid summer air.
Golfers enjoyed a fun and relaxed day on the course, made even better by our generous sponsors. Gasser Bush Associates, Hamilton Parker, and Lighting Dynamics set up lively On Course Booths with refreshments and snacks, while NBS Commercial Interiors helped kick off the day as our Par-Tee Starter sponsor with morning cocktails.
After 19 holes, players gathered at the clubhouse to cool off and enjoy a well-earned dinner. During the evening, we celebrated a remarkable moment of service, honoring Walter Hales, AIA, for 35 years of dedicated service on the Golf Outing Committee. Walter was presented with the AIA Toledo GOAT Volunteer Award as he officially passed the torch to incoming Committee Chair Tim Swartz, AIA.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of our golfers, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make our annual outing such a success. Your continued support keeps this tradition going strong—rain or shine!
